Well we're there all ready! The end of the year is apon us and another Windy Lindy has been completed.
First off I would like to thank everyone who helped make this year so much fun. Peter, Grace, Sally-ann, Damon, Becky, Traveller and all of those that helped set up or pack down, THANK YOU, we couldn't have done it without you. A big congratulations goes out to our Windy Lindy winners! What a fantastic job you did, especially Mike and Emmylou who came first in the Novice section, Damon and Tanya for their oustanding Showcase and Sally-ann and Jason who fate threw together for a win in the Jack and Jill!
Looking ahead we have some great social dancing coming up and our end of year Christmas dance with very special Balboa workshops with Yvonne and Hamish from DecoDance. Read on for details:

We're drawing to end of this block and Wednesday classes will finish December 10th, Thursdays on December 11th and Mondays on December 21st.

If you've ever wanted to try your hand (or feet) at Balboa, now's your chance!
The lovely Yvonne and Hamish from DecoDance will be joining us for two action packed workshops, both suitable for beginners and improvers, on Saturday 5th of December
Workshop one: Bal Beginners 2.30-3.30 pm
Workshop two: Bal Beg + 3.30 - 4.30pm
Both workshops will be held in studio two, 22 Webb St and cost just $15 each.

Later in the evening we will be hosting the final Happy Feet for the year.. Christmas style!
Come along and try out your new Bal moves or just join us for some Christmas cheer!

Just in case you thought you'd get a break over summer, think again! There are heaps of dancing opportunities coming up and we will be updating the Face Book group over the Christmas break with any new gigs as well as the Summer City options!

Saturday 28th Nov Shaken not Stirred - Ruby Cabaret at The Ruby Lounge
Modern swing, Latin soul, and sensual dark lounge grooves from this fantastic Wellington 7 piece band. Book a table for dinner and the show is free or $15 on the door. Show starts 8.30pm.
Sunday 29th Nov: Andrew London and his new band! The Ruby Lounge
A repertoire of songs culled from his history with Hot Club Sandwich and The Cattlestops - some jazz or blues-flavoured; some leaning more towards folk or country. The new band currently features Andrew's wife, Kirsten, on bass, Ross McDermott on lap steel guitar, Carylann Martin on accordion and Evan Williams on drums.
4 - 7pm, $10 on the door, with High Tea!
As always Wellington’s finest big band are playing the first Sunday of each month at the Johnsonville RSA, 139 Johnsonville Road. Always a great evening, 6pm-8pm, and free entry.

Hanmer Swings 4th -6th December -With Hepcat Swing!
This is a fantastic way to end the dancing year with a mix of dancing, hanging out, and fun social events!
Please note there are no more cabins available, but we still have some double beds in the lodge...
