Just three weeks to go before Windy Lindy hits Wellington!
Final details are coming together, the fun stuff is starting to arrive and we’re looking forward to a fabulous weekend of dancing, entertainment and an entire army of out of town visitors.
We have some important information to share so please have a read and email us with any questions or suggestions you may have.
WORKSHOP REGISTRATIONS CLOSED TO INDIVIDUAL FOLLOWERS
To keep numbers as even as possible, we have now closed registrations for individual Followers, however there is still space for Leaders and Couples registering together. Ladies, if you’re keen and have left things to the last moment, grab yourselves a bloke and we will squeeze you in! Guys, you’re in hot demand as always!
BILLETS NEEDED!
We’ve had a number of enquiries for out-of-town dancers requiring billets. If you have a bed, couch or fluffy rug going begging, PLEASE let us know. Billeting is one of the wonderful elements of swing dancing world-wide and really lets you get to know dancers from other places, as well as adding karma points through your generosity! And who knows when you’ll need those… Drop us a line if you think you may be able to help and we’ll put you in touch with your own special guest.
REGISTRATION PACKS AND WORKSHOP TIMETABLE
Registration packs will be available at your first registered event and will include stream details and a timetable for workshops as well as passes for social events. We will be including the 11.30-12.45pm Sunday time slot for a Int/Adv workshop so if you have registered for a full pass at this level, please keep this time free. More details on workshop material and final timetable will be available on the website shortly.
BALL TICKETS
Ball tickets are available for our fabulous “Puttin’ On The Ritz” Ball, Saturday 18th September at the beautiful Foxglove Ballroom. This will be a wonderful night of dancing, with music from the Liberty Swing Band, performances, a sumptuous supper and incredible outfits as always. You don’t need to be a swing dancer to come along so feel free to invite friends and family or other local dancers that might like to enjoy Wellington at its best. Tickets are just $45 and available from dance@fullswing.co.nz Pass it on!
HELPERS NEEDED
We’ve packed a lot into a weekend and would love a hand or two to make sure things run super smooth! If you’re able to help with set-up, decorating, pack-down or pancake making (even if it’s just half an hour) we’d really appreciate it! We’d also really, really like to hear from somebody with a van that might be able to help on Saturday afternoon/night.
